How it works:

Before we start the calculation, we need to know the following data:  patient’s gender, age, TG, HDL, BP, whether diabetic or smoker.

Step 1:  According to patient’s gender,  choose the scale for Man or Woman.

Step 2:   Looking at small disk, according to whether diabetic or smoker, HDL data, read the score A

Step 3:  Looking  at  middle disk,  according to  DBP and SBP,  read the score B

Step 4: Looking at the big disk,  according to TC and age, read the score C.

Step 5:  Calculate the total score(A+B+C) and read the CHD risk on the CHD RISK TABLE  printed on the back side.
